Sana — Dating App for Diaspora Communities

Overview

About

Sana is a matchmaking app for people living abroad who want a partner from the same culture and with the same values. It is built for serious, long-term relationships, not casual dating.

Brief

Many of Sana’s users come from conservative communities, so trust and privacy came first. Two features show this best. Emergency App Removal wipes the app in one tap if it needs to disappear fast. Family-Guided Messaging lets a parent or sibling join the chat, the way traditional courtship works offline.

Besides the app, we created the brand, a design system, an investor pitch deck and a landing page.

Result

Outcome

We delivered a complete, high-trust design system and mobile UI/UX framework tailored for culturally diverse communities. By translating complex privacy needs into intuitive interface patterns and high-fidelity prototypes, we provided Sana’s engineering team with a scalable design foundation ready for seamless development and market launch.

Feedback

Working with the team was a truly unique and deeply professional experience. What impressed us most was their strategic product mindset. They looked at design far beyond pure aesthetics, approaching every task through the lens of product strategy. They proactively challenged our initial ideas, proposed more rational user flows, and evaluated every decision from the user's perspective. Thanks to this critical approach, we rethought key functional blocks and made the product significantly stronger. It’s a rare team where business strategy and product logic drive the design, not the other way around.
